Warranty Policy

We stand behind our work. This page explains what our limited warranty covers and how to start a claim.

Last updated: January 2026View Terms

1) Overview

MacN'Droid Repair (“MacN'Droid,” “we,” “us,” “our”) provides a limited warranty on eligible parts and labor for repairs performed by our technicians. Warranty coverage varies by repair type and part option.

This warranty does not replace manufacturer warranties and does not cover new damage after repair.

2) What’s Covered

Our limited warranty generally covers:

  • Defective parts installed by us (for example: a replacement part that fails under normal use).
  • Workmanship issues directly related to the original repair (for example: a connection we serviced that becomes loose without new damage).
  • Repeat symptoms of the same issue we repaired, when the device has not been physically damaged since.

If a warranty issue is confirmed, we will repair or replace the warranted part (or re-perform the warranted service) at no additional labor charge, subject to availability.

3) What’s Not Covered

Warranty does not cover:

  • New physical damage after repair (drops, cracks, bent frames, impact damage).
  • Liquid/water damage after repair, or pre-existing corrosion that causes later failure.
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications done after our service (including other shops or DIY).
  • Software issues not related to the repair (updates, resets, malware, account/lock issues).
  • Normal wear (cosmetic wear, battery aging over time outside warranty terms).
  • Devices with prior severe damage where underlying issues later appear (for example: hidden board damage).
  • Data loss. We prioritize data retention, but cannot guarantee data preservation.

4) Warranty Timeframes

Warranty duration depends on the repair and parts used. Your receipt/invoice is the best source for the exact term.

  • Most repairs: Limited warranty typically ranges from 30 days to 1 year.
  • Batteries: Coverage may vary by model/part option.
  • Liquid damage / board-level work: May have limited or no warranty depending on device condition.

If the invoice lists a specific warranty term, that term controls.

5) How to Start a Claim

  1. Contact us with your name and the phone number used on the repair.
  2. Bring the device in (or coordinate drop-off) for inspection and testing.
  3. We diagnose whether the issue is covered under warranty or caused by new damage.

If the claim is approved, we’ll repair/replace the warranted part or re-do the warranted service. If the issue is not covered, we’ll explain why and provide options before doing any paid work.

6) Important Notes

  • Inspection required: Warranty service requires device testing and visual inspection.
  • Part availability: If an exact part is unavailable, we may offer an equivalent replacement or alternative solution.
  • Security features: Some devices may show “Unknown Part” notifications after repair due to manufacturer pairing policies. This does not automatically indicate a warranty issue.
  • Passcodes & accounts: You may need to provide the passcode for testing. We do not request Apple ID/Google passwords.
